Welcome to Oak Ridge MOPS!
We are very happy you found us on the web! We would love to see you at one of our meetings! We meet on 2nd & 4th Wednesdays Sept. - May. Feel free to join us at any time throughout the year. Your first meeting is FREE! Bring a friend!
What is MOPS?
MOPS (Mothers Of Preschoolers) is an informal and fun support group designed to meet the distinct needs of moms with young children (ages birth through kindergarten). If you are one of these moms then you have probably felt the need for encouragement, friends, nurturing and practical tips for surviving the preschool years! MOPS is just the place to find these things. You can find more information about MOPS International at their website - www.mops.org.
What to expect at MOPS?
First, a warm welcome... to you and your preschoolers! We have first-class childcare for your little ones so you can relax. Our morning begins with refreshments and time to socialize. Then moms are encouraged through teaching and discussion on topics such as womanhood, marriage, child rearing, family relationships and other helpful topics. This is followed by time for small group discussion and a craft or other creative activity. The schedule may be varied to include special speakers, demonstrations, and seasonal programs.
Where do We meet?
MOPS is an interdenominational group that meets at Oak Ridge Baptist Church. We welcome all moms regardless of religious affiliation.
