What is MOPS?
MOPS (Mothers Of Preschoolers) is an informal
and fun support group designed to meet the distinct needs of moms with young
children (ages birth through kindergarten). If you are one of these moms then you have probably felt the need for
encouragement, friends, nurturing and practical tips for surviving the preschool
years! MOPS is just the place to find these things. You can find more

What can I expect when I come to MOPS?
First, a
warm welcome! Our morning begins with refreshments and time to socialize. Then
moms are encouraged through teaching and discussion on topics such as
womanhood, marriage, child rearing, family relationships and other helpful
topics. This is followed by time for small group discussion and a craft or
other creative activity. The schedule may be varied to include special speakers, demonstrations,
and seasonal programs.
How much does it cost?
Your first meeting
or two is absolutely FREE! After that we ask you to join MOPS
International for $20 per year. Click here to
see all of the items you will receive for this membership fee. We will
also collect $5 per mom at each meeting to help cover the cost of crafts,
childcare and supplies that make our meetings successful. Our MOPS group
is run by moms like you who volunteer their time weekly to organize and manage
our group. We want everyone
to attend - as it is a refreshing time for moms! If these fees are a
hardship to your family, please contact us or speak
to a member of the steering team. There are a limited number of
scholarships available.
Where does Oak Ridge MOPS meet?
MOPS is an interdenominational group that meets at
Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 361 Tilghman Road,
Salisbury, MD 21804 (in the Kmart Shopping Plaza). We welcome all moms
regardless of religious affiliation.

Our goal is to
support women in their roles as mothers, wives, and friends in a loving,
Christian atmosphere. Whether you are expecting your first child, your youngest
is in kindergarten, or you fall somewhere in between...
